Role: Quality Assistant

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assistant. Our Quality team is growing and this position reports to our Quality Manager. Do you like problem-solving? Are you customer focused? Do you enjoy a varied day's work? As a Quality Assistant, you would be required to assist/support the Quality Manager by providing production expertise to resolve quality issues with the production operation. Ensure that the product meets our customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-compliance issues.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer and internal complaint handling; lead/coordinate customer communication and any associated returns/investigations
  • Maintain the Customer Complaint 'workflow' to ensure adequate recording and timely closure of complaints
  • Co-ordinate and track customer/supplier product returns
  • Carry out goods-in, production and other quality checks as required
  • Manage/assist/develop the non-conformance process
  • Carry out and assist with internal audits, as required
  • Review and update Management System procedures, work instructions and other documentation
  • Update and maintain 'quality' system modules and related product information on company systems
  • Assist departmental managers with internal issues

Role: R&D Project Engineer

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity within the R&D team reporting to the Global Vice President of Research & Development. After another successful year, we are looking to recruit an R&D Project Engineer. This is a full-time office-based role at our UK head office in Newtown. We are looking for a degree-calibre team member or graduate who is able to demonstrate a combination of skills and further qualifications at an equivalent level. This role will provide support to the UK business operation and cover both Polegate and Newtown locations.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan the development and successful execution of R&D projects and design changes.
  • Create and manage project schedules with a focus on timelines, budgets and resources.
  • Collaborate and liaise with all parties to identify project requirements, updating on a regular basis.
  • Work as a conduit between Quality and Manufacturing to ensure accurate capture of certification documents and design change actions.

Role: Field Service Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to support the Applications Team within UK Sales to service equipment and to pilot a warranty service for printers.

Do you like problem-solving? Are you customer focused? Do you enjoy a varied day’s work? Whether a routine maintenance call or troubleshooting a problem, the Field Service Engineer plays a key role in both onsite and offsite technical support.  We are looking for a skilled technically-minded team member to manage the receipt of printers, potential repairs, and the logistics of exchanging printers during the period of repair as well as spending time servicing equipment at our client's premises.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for the service and repair of warranty support for the printer portfolio of equipment
      • Provide installation support, preventative and corrective maintenance, modification and repair of mechanical and electronic equipment
      • Manage service call scheduling and parts inventory
      • Foster customer relationships in relation to service and replacement of equipment
      • Assist with some application support within the trained competency area
      • Handle requests for the replacement of potentially defective products by monitoring and triaging incoming customer support requests by email and phone
      • Act as technical specialist to support customers with applications and equipment
      • Responsible for all logistics relating to the warranty/Stat Swap service provision

The team member will receive appropriate training and play a key role in servicing a portfolio of equipment. With a variety of duties, the Field Service Engineer will work both remotely, on-site at our Newtown/Polegate sites and throughout the UK at customer premises to service equipment.

We are looking for a well-organised, positive-thinking problem solver with excellent technical know-how and good communications skills.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

      • This position requires a good communicator with above-average troubleshooting skills and diplomacy
      • Practical experience with diagnosing and resolving problems with pathological instruments/equipment

Preparing for another successful year, we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Quality and Regulatory Compliance Manager who will lead on compliance of medical device manufacture to current Medical Devices Regulations and ensure the maintenance of an ISO13485 and ISO14001 accredited Quality Management System.

Knowledge and Experience: 

  • To thrive in this role, you’ll need advanced and tangible organisation leadership experience within a highly regulated environment, with knowledge of global regulations advantageous
  • BSc. in a relevant discipline (Masters advantageous);
    5 to 10 years of experience of working within a manufacturing environment with at least 5 of those in a management role, capable of managing complexity
